* A Clearinghouse is a listing of upcoming chess tournaments, activities and events for the purpose of assisting organizers in avoiding scheduling conflicts with one another. Naturally, it may also serve as an event calendar for players. However, players relying on this listing should remember that a Clearinghouse, unlike a calendar, includes items that may only be in planning stages, which may change dates, formats, etc. or be removed altogether.
The New England Clearinghouse is a no cost US Chess recognized service provided by the New England Chess Association--whose members are
the Connecticut State Chess Association (CSCA),
the Maine Chess Association (MECA),
the Massachusetts Chess Association (MACA),
the New Hampshire Chess Association (NHCA),
the Southeast New England Chess Association (SENECA),
the Vermont Chess Association (VCA) and
the Western Massachusetts Chess Association (WMCA)--to chess organizers and communities of New England and their applicable US Chess State Chapters in meeting US Chess guidelines.
Posting rules and limitations: Unless posted by a US Chess State Affiliate for their state, events entitled "state championship", granting "state title" or other similar name or moniker, which indicates or may be interpreted as such, may not be posted without written confirmation of event authorization or assignment from the State Affiliate. Events purporting false, misleading or inappropriate information or content may not be posted until adjustments/corrections are made. Organizers are strongly encouraged to cooperate with one another in scheduling events. Events need not be final and may be merely in planning stages to be acceptable for posting. Other rules and limitations may apply at NECA or Clearinghouse coordinator's discretion.
Organizer, if you are interested in adding events on this site,
but do not have an access code yet, please e-mail Gert at gert@hilhorst.us
